Energy Certificates
Any person who builds, sells or leases a property, must now provide an Energy Performance Certificate (E.P.C.) for the purchaser.
There are a few exceptions to this rule, but generally, an E.P.C. is required in the majority of residential and commercial property transactions.
An E.P.C. is an assessment of the overall energy efficiency of a building, this relating to carbon dioxide emissions.
Only registered energy assessors can carry out this work, following a course of study and examination. The energy assessments provided by assessors are then subject to regular, rigorous quality assurance audits, carried out by their registering bodies.
At Anglia Building Surveys, our surveyors are accredited and registered energy assessors who can provide E.P.C.s for domestic and commercial properties (Levels 3 & 4). We will be pleased to provide fixed fee quotations for this service.
